Auxiliary Program

This program is designed to educate dental auxiliary on incorporating orthodontic treatment in the general dental practice. Auxiliaries play an important roll, educating and informing patients on treatment as well as saving the dentist valuable chair time.

It is of utmost importance to educate your dental team in all aspects of dentistry. An educated and motivated team will increase office production while increasing patient care.

This course consists of 3 sessions with 2 days per session and runs concurrently with Dr. Garcia's doctors course. Upon completion of the three sessions, your team will have the knowledge and confidence to work with you on incorporating orthodontics into your practice.

Session I

You will learn:

Session II

You will learn:

  • Review Session one and finish Bracketing and Banding (if needed)
  • Cephalometrics
  • Landmarks of the skull
  • Cephalometric Analysis

  • Digital X-Rays
  • Digital Cephalometric Analysis

Session III

You will learn:

  • Review Session I & II
  • Patient education
  • Uses of modified, functional and orthopedic appliances. Fixed / removable appliances
  • Basic utility arch-wires
  • Intrusive arch-wires
  • Posted arch-wires
  • Retention appliances
